Silara is founded by Ashley Marimuthu, a former enterprise technology executive with nearly two decades of experience leading technology, cybersecurity, transformation and operational organisations.
Ashley has advised executive teams, boards and governance committees while leading complex, high-risk environments across financial services, mobile and telcos, consulting, media and other regulated industries.
His experience includes:
- Former Group CTO and CISO at leading global brands including Naspers, Multichoice, Barloworld and Cell C.
- Led large-scale technology, cybersecurity and operational organisations of more than 1,000 people
- Executive responsibility across AI, technology strategy, cyber resilience, transformation and operations
- Experience supporting boards, audit committees and senior executive teams
- Contributed to national cybersecurity initiatives and the development of South Africa’s cybercrime legislation
